TOEFL AND TOEIC

The Difference Between TOEFL and TOEIC :

TOEFL :

1.    The TOEFL is intended for students who wish to continue their studies in the United States and Canada.

2.    English is used on campus, such as between students and professors in the classroom, students and campus staff, among students. The theme total / pure / thoroughly only on the campus.

1.    TOEIC is intended for those whose native language is not English dialog wear and want to show the ability to communicate in English in the world of work and take part in globalization.

2.    English language that we use daily, such as reading the memo, received a phone call, sending an email, etc.

3.    TOEIC tests using the international standard alignment.

4.    TOEIC has two kinds of tests that test reading and listening with a score range of 10-990.

5.    Skor TOEIC dimulai dari angka 400 hingga 990. Ada enam level yaitu level 0/0+ Novice (skor 10-250), level 1 Elementary (skor 255-400), level 1+ Intermediate (skor 405-600), level 2 Basic Working Proficiency (skor 605-780), level 2+ Advance Working Profiency ( skor 785-900) dan level 3/3+ General Professional Proficiency (skor 905-990).

6.    Paper Based (using pencil and answer sheets computers).

My opinion about the difference the TOEFL and TOEIC : TOEFL stands for Test of English as Foreign Language. In short toefl it is to determine English proficiency. While TOEIC is an acronym for Test of English for International Communication. TOEIC is an English language skills test for people whose native language is not English. TOEIC test materials easier than TOEFL test because only a multiple-choice test for 2 hours, divided into sessions listening and reading sessions. Score TOEFL test is based on PBT (310-677), CBT (30-300), and IBT (8-120), while the TOEIC score starting from the number 400 to 990. TOEFL is intended for students or students who wish to continue their studies in the United States and Canada. TOEIC is intended for those whose native language is not English dialog wear and want to show the ability to communicate in English in the world of work and take part in globalization. TOEFL use a computer with internet connection, while TOEIC answer sheet using a pencil and a computer.
